Irish studentrider in RDS
Last week saw Irish student rider Nicola FitzGibbon competing at the Royal Dublin Show (4th- 8th August 2010) on her horse Puissance. The show is always popular with student riders to meet up with one another during the summer and watch fellow student riders competing on their own horses.
Nicola came 8th in the Power and Speed class on the Thursday, 3rd in the Dublin Stakes on Saturday and came 16th with just 1 unlucky fence down in the Longines 1m60 Grand Prix on Sunday. Following the result, Nicola was “absolutely delighted because it was so unexpected”.
She has found great form this summer, especially with her results in July where she has success at other shows including winning the Blessington Premier Grand Prix, 2nd in the Premier Grand Prix in Ballina and also was 2nd in CSI2* Grand Prix in Tattersalls.
